Our focus is on you!
About Golden Valley FCU
Since 1957, Golden Valley Federal Credit Union began serving the employees of the Sharpe Army Depot. In 1999, we decided to expand our membership to include the Manteca School District and changed our name to Golden Valley Federal Credit Union. We later expanded our membership to include the Ripon Unified School district.
In 2022, the National Credit Union Administration approved our expansion to include all residents of the San Joaquin County community.
Today, we remain more dedicated than ever to the unique principles that set us apart from traditional profit-driven financial institutions.
Our purpose is to serve the complete financial needs of our membership community. We are here to guide you and help you realize your own financial goals through local personalized and responsive services.
Who Can Join?
Golden Valley Federal Credit Union (GVFCU) exclusively serves all persons who live, work, worship or attend school in San Joaquin County. We also welcome immediate family members of a current GVFCU member to join, regardless of where they live.
We are proud of our “Once a Member, Always a Member” philosophy, which allows you to keep your membership and benefits for life, no matter where you move, where you work or even if your relationship to a current member changes.

What Makes Us Different?
Golden Valley FCU specializes in helping our community members whose needs are not being met by traditional for-profit financial institutions. We are member-owned, which allows us to offer services that are tailored to the unique needs of our Golden Valley community.
We strive to offer lower rates on loans, higher earnings on savings and no-cost or low-cost financial services. We are always looking for the right way to meet the needs of our members and are ready to help in any way we can.
Our highly trained professional staff will listen and present you with financial options to meet your ever-evolving needs. We work hard to exceed your expectations, from a child’s first savings account to a small holiday loan or the opportunity to own your very own home. We can help you achieve your goals along the way.
Low-Income Designation
We offer exciting programs to help low-income community members qualify for loans that other ‘for-profit’ institutions may not approve. In addition, we offer several Second-Chance Programs—designed to help members who have suffered a financial setback—to rebuild their credit and raise their credit score.
Your Savings Are Safe at Golden Valley FCU
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the Federal Government, insures your deposits up to $250,000. Joint savings accounts are insured up to an additional $250,000.
